This camp is quite substantial and very upmarket, as such it is not the sort of thing that we would instantly expect to be as good as it is. The luxury just happens here, it is a very well constructed camp but the levels of comfort and luxury do not detract from the overall safari experience. When combined with its sister camp in Ruaha this makes the basis of a great safari itinerary.
The camp has two elements, north camp comprising of 6 tents and south camp having 7 tents, they are run as two completely independent camps so while it is larger than many of the properties that we use it retains that intimate and personal safari feel that we like in a camp.
Both camps have their own pool and the rooms are incredibly well furnished with possibly the best openair showers we have come across. The quality of food, hosting and guiding is excellent and the wildlife in this area is the best in the reserve with the last few years producing great wild dog sightings among the usual Lion, Elephant and Giraffe that the park has in abundance.
There is also the possibility of taking a full private camp with 4 tents or more, perfect for special interest groups or large family trips….
