If you are interested in this camp you have to ask to hear about Tom’s all time best ever game experience that happened in the middle of the night at this camp. I imagine that says almost all you need to know about this camp, we really like it, it’s classy, simple and only semi permanent so has a reduced imprint on the ecosystem and on top of all of that the most important fact is that the safari experience is the main focus of the camp and it does not disappoint.
The camp is made up of 6 tents along the banks of the dry Ifuguru river. Each tent has an open air safari-style shower and ensuite bathroom, and is a great example of an East African bush camp. Walking and game driving from this part of the park is excellent, there are a few other camps around but all guides here rely on their own skill to find wildlife and do not just follow radios or other vehicles. This results in a fantastic overall experience.
